Saved my Life!!! 5 years ago while staying with my wife at a campground in Chestertown, Maryland I suffered a Widow Maker heart attack and was flown to the University of Maryland Medical Center where a cardiac team was waiting. Every single person from the flight crew to the doctors, nurses, cleaners, food servers were all kind, caring, friendly and absolutely amazing. Thank You to each and every one of You!!!
I just got discharged after mitral valve surgery with Dr. David Zapata at the University of Maryland Hospital, and he is truly an amazing doctor. At 25, needing heart surgery was overwhelming, but Dr. Zapata made all the difference. His kindness, patience, and clear explanations put me at ease from the start. The care I received during surgery and recovery was outstanding. Dr. Zapata's expertise and genuine concern for his patients are exceptional. I also had surgery performed by Dr. Leo Belyayev, who works at Walter Reed, the best military hospital. He's amazing too! His skill and dedication were evident every step of the way. The staff at the University of Maryland Hospital were fantastic. The nurses in the heart recovery section were super attentive and kind, making my recovery so much smoother. I'm feeling great and on the road to recovery, all thanks to Dr. Zapata, Dr. Belyayev, and the wonderful team. Highly recommend Dr. Zapata, Dr. Belyayev, and the entire staff!
I am a 43 yr old man living extremely active life. Had a pulmonary valve repair at Johns Hopkins in 1979 . Through years valve became insufficient. Referred from dr Stacy fisher to dr sun jay kaushal and dr berry deatrick for valve replacement! These men literally saved my life and let me continue being father of 2 sons ! I owe them the world ! These 2 surgeons are real hero's of world. Besides saving me they save babies barely alive and not well. They are pioneers with technology such as echmo . Etc these doctors who are saving young lives and deserve credit as everyday heroes ! All the staff at university md cardiology was excellent !
