Wish I could add more stars. I was so very fortunate to be assigned Dr Gammie for my heart valve surgery. He is such an engaging, caring, highly skilled, compassionate and modest Surgeon. Clearly above ranks in his profession. From initial meeting I felt calm and confident and all my fears and anxiety floated away. The entire team that got me through this event are top of their game. Thank you to nurse practitioner Filomena especially, who would always be just a split second away by email or phone to answer any questions I had. The care I received from staff in ICU and step down unit was truly world class. Plus I'd like to give a shout out to all the behind the scenes staff that made my journey back to health easy that I never had the chance to thank personally. The team work together like clockwork. Doctor Gammie is my hero. Thank you Bravo..

I went in to see Dr. Gammie for my mitral valve and was instantly put at ease by him and his amazing staff. After leaving the office I was scared but feeling very confident on my upcoming open heart surgery to fix this. Dr. Gammie is the only one I would trust to do this . He is a brilliant surgeon. From the first office visit to stay in hospital to my post surgery appointmet I was treated with care and compassion. He gave me a new life and cant thank him enough. I am 4 weeks out and doing amazing . Thank you Dr. Gammie!!

I am 57 yr old female. I had severe mitral valve regurgitation. 3 broken cords and valve not closing properly. Dr Gammie did my surgery at Univ of M.D. December 2017. No problems and today I feel great. It was a repair with the ring and replace my broken cords with Teflon ones. I've joined an exercise class 3x a week and haven't felt better in years. He does many of these a year. I can't thank him enough for giving me my life back and my future. Thank you Dr. Gammie. God Bless u.

I had extreme AFib. I took several medications to allow me to have a regular heart beat. They all failed after awhile. At this point, I had little hope for curing my affliction. My cardiologist attempted to do an ablation via my groin. I stopped breathing after the dose of Propofol. My cardiologist then called Dr. Grammie. Dr. Grammie then accepted and give me an appointment to discuss Cryo Maze procedure. I was ready !!! I was scheduled to have the procedure on September 13, 2013. All went well after a few hours of surgery. After 5 days in the hospital I went home. I am pleased to say as of today my heart is still beating like a sewing machine. No more irregular heartbeat or congestion heart failure.Thank you again Dr. Grammie for a job well done. God Bless you Sir !!!

I would give 6 stars. But only goes to 5. I'm 5 days out from mitral valve repair. Had severe MR. Dr Gammie covers the 3 C's to perfection. Caring compassion and most importantly... competency. His skills are world renowned. You do one thing, do it well, and refine it. His team moves seamlessly. I'm at home today, I can walk and do steps on my own. It's a process for full recovery. But this guy gets two thumbs up. My experience has been beyond amazing!!!
