Dr.Makadia is the Best Cardiologist I ever came in contact with I would never change.. I like that he is very caring and explains everything step by step very professional and takes his patients care very serious I would recommend him to the world... Very professional, caring, kind and patient. Easy to talk to, takes his time at appointments, so you never feel rushed or not listened to. There is nothing negative that I can say about him. Great doctor and I highly recommend!
Pros: Seems to understand cardiology and overall health. Cons: Patient communication is poor. Bedside manner is poor. Seems to be too busy to spend enough time with patient. Office staff does not seem to communicate well with what the doctor wants either. Office staff erroneously scheduled multiple of the same tests. Schedules tests without explaining what he is ruling out. Does not explain test results. Prescribes new medication without speaking to patient first. Canceled scheduled test because he was angry that I was upset and disappointed at the lack of proper patient care.
Dr. Makadia is an awesome doctor. I would have given him five stars, however, a member of his staff acted in an unprofessional manner. I went with my 77 year old mother to get a stress test. The nurse named Chase seemed nice enough. However, when he was putting on the LEEDS he had to raise my mom's shirt some. I asked him to close the door, and he said, "When I finish." I just jumped up out of my seat to close the door so my mom could have some dignity. I hurried so fast that I almost tripped and dropped my bag. I thought it was extremely disrespectful to have the door open when anyone is in any state of undress. I was so angry I thought it was best not to speak because I did not want the situation to be more ugly than it already was. Just because someone is elderly does not mean they do not deserve respect. The next time we go to see Dr. Makadia I will specifically ask not to have any contact with Chase.
Dr. Makadia is one of the top notch cardiologist, very professional, and cares for his patients thoroughly.
