CVCA Cardiac Care For Pets

Dr. Cober has always been understanding and empathetic of my English Bulldogs Cardiac issues. He remembers each patient individually. He was able to keep my boy calm so he didn't get too excited and have an episode-Tech Joe was also very compassionate and accommodating with my boys needs (giving the lovings, reassuring, pets and of course treats) Besides the bedside manner, Dr. Cober thoroughly explained to us what was going on with our boy. He answered every question we had and eased concerns and also recommended suggestions for continued care within and without the practice. The ease in which he was able to "break down in to Layman's terms" (for us non Cardiology people) was with ease. We never felt rushed. We left our (3rd) over all appt (with Cober) feeling so much more at ease leaving, than we did going in, and we felt like we had a better idea of the next steps to take. We are so fortunate to have found this hospital. Wrigley had been diagnosed with a heart condition at U of Penn in April. Dr. Cho and her team did a super job. But it's a 2 and a half hour trip for us. Our boy developed a mass on his knee since and our home vet hospital Havenlake referred us to Chesapeake. They have done a super job on him so far. They're prompt and accurate. It's a great vet hospital!

We are so grateful for the professionals at CVCA. My Great Dane was diagnosed with DCM when she was just two years old and at the time her prognosis was not good. Over the past year we have followed their plan of care for her and she is now expected to pretty much live out a normal life span for a Great Dane with very good quality of life. Everyone there is kind and responds to email requests very quickly.

My appointment was right on time. The doctor explained everything and all my options very clearly and in a way that was easy for me to understand. Everyone treated my cat with care and compassion. (He can be a bit difficult). Everything was done to give me options on the different forms of medicine available (pill, liquid, injection and ear rubs) since my cat is so difficult to medicate. I am very grateful for the excellent care my cat received.

This is the level of pet care we have always hoped for. A potential heart concern in our cat was detected by our vet on a Monday, and by Thursday CVCA was able to get us an appointment in their cardiac division. The entire team we interacted with at CVCA were very pleasant and kind. Dr. Romano and her technicians were absolutely exceptional. A huge plus for us was being able to be in the same room with our cat during the entirety of the appointment. We left CVCA with a diagnosis and a treatment plan. This is a very professional facility and we feel so fortunate for CVCA's existence.
