Dr. Robich successfully repaired my aorta after my ascending arch dissected on February 14, 2016. Valentines Day. Without Dr. Robich's skill and expertise I would have died. The dissection occurred while I was skiing and it was not diagnosed until 16 hours after it occurred when Dr. Christopher Gelwix at Pen Bay Medical Center performed an ultrasound exam and found that I was not having a heart attack. To him I also owe my life. And to many others as well, including Life Flight of Maine and the entire staff at Maine Medical intensive care unit. An amazingly talented, dedicated and professional group. The operation took 8.5 hours, but I survived it and a post surgical stroke which paralyzed my entire left side. I recovered and am back to skiing, hiking, sailing, swimming, biking and living my life as robustly as I could ever have hoped. Thank you Dr. Robich and team at Maine Medical!

Dr. Robich saved my mom's life when she had an aortic dissection. I did my research on him prior to her going back into the OR and found that he was truly well trained and capable of the task. He reassured me through the process and answered all the questions I had. He has a great bedside manner and is very friendly. The surgery took hours and he told us what to anticipate regarding recovery and the statistics. If it was not for him, she would not be back to herself (almost back...she's got a litte more progress to make, but no doubt, she would not be here without him). I would recommend him to anyone needing a cardiothoracic surgeon!
