Michael Gavin, MD, MPH, is a cardiologist and the Director of the Cardiac Direct Access Unit (CDAc) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. The CDAc provides patients with non- life-threatening symptoms, such as chest pain or shortness of breath, the option to bypass the emergency room and see an attending cardiovascular physician, avoiding emergency room wait times and expense. Dr. Gavin joined the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at BIDMC in 2012.
