Lane Regional Medical Center

My recent 7 day visit put me on the road to better health and recovery . From my entry into the ER, after being unexpectedly sent over by Cardiovascular Institute of the South, and the polite check-in staff, to the attending nursing assistant Luke, to the professionally attentive Dr. Baptiste. I have been a patient of Lane Memorial in years past, with no major complaints about the experience; but, this stay definitely displayed not only an enhanced building construction (407 room), which was both comfortable and well designed with a lovely "relaxing view". I was also attended by a dedicated group of professionals. This included general radiology as well as the superb 4th floor medical staff which included nurses Vanessa, Jalessa, Jaylon, Angel, CNA's and Dr. Abraham. I most certainly need to mention the surgical room staff from surgeon to the operating room technician, who ensured relaxation with a very pleasing musical playlist. The anesthesiologist and team to radiology team. ALL very professional and calming. The aforementioned Dr. Baptiste was also my attending physician towards the latter part of my stay, she never stopped looking for the "cause&effect" whereas to correctly diagnose resolution. The total Lane Memorial Regional hospital team experience, made a very difficult time much less stressful. Thank you

Honestly I don't even know how this place even has 4.5 stars but let me start off by thanking those of you who actually did their jobs and helped as much as they could. Kim and Duke and everyone in the emergency room thank you all for your help and attentiveness it did not go unnoticed and to Nicole and Ava and the tech nurse i can't remember your name in the hospital you guys as well. Were probably the only ones doing what was needed so once again thank you. Now to the rest of you in the hospital please find another career because the hospital isn't it. During the 3 days we was there we felt very unwelcomed and the lack of care was horrible. Alot of times felt as if we had to beg to get simple things done. Everytime we blinked it was always shift change. There were 2 people that passed during our stay and if they got the same care we did, I see why so god rest their souls. Got to the er on Friday at 4:44am, was told they were admitting my mom for a bowel obstruction, had to wait over 12hrs for a room. The whole time there they made us feel like we were a bother. Wasn't giving pain meds when needed. Yall prolong the process just to milk the insurance because the only thing that was done was an IV given, meds for pain, nausea , and asthma and two suppositories. Let me just say this I've been coming to this hospital since I was little, for over 20yrs and never had an experience like this and if the lord says the same we won't be coming back.

My experience at Lane Memorial was wonderful. The care and treatment were excellent in all departments. The respiratory staff is fabulous especially Kim Mcconkey, Kim McKinley and Chelsea. If I left anyone out, I just don't have their names. The nursing staff was caring and very attentive including Michael and Gabriel. Do not have names but they are included. Dr.Satya Acharya we as a life saver. She was my emergency room doctor and my doctor while at Lane. She discovered my physical problems and provided a way to treat me. Staff from the front door to the exam room was very kind, welcoming, professional and caring. My nurses knew what they were doing. Changing my vac had been painful to me for the last three weeks. Getting my dressing changed pain free, word can not express how that made me feel after suffering for so long. My doctor is very knowledgeable, professional and caring. Leaving the center pain free and very happy. Love this place!!!

So very thankful for Lane Regional and their very attentive staff for taking care of me during my situation of excessive hypertension.... The ER was quick and Dr Patel and Barrett Dixon, NP were kind, comforting and knowledgeable! I was admitted and I guarantee you I had the very best nurses tending to me.... Jenna, ER Charge Nurse you got it rollin' quickly and smoothly.... Gabriel, Aaron, Mike, Ms Jackie(you're the queen!), Rachel, Triniti, Sweet Sweet Cameron!, Sherri-ICU, Ava, Shelby-ICU, Marie, and Ja'Briel who was so very patient with my discharge notes.... I could go on and on about each of these nurses, they did such a great job keeping me informed and helping me through what felt like a night mare of extreme hypertension at times.... Lane you have the best Nurse Assistants too! Ramona with the sweetest kindest voice, and so very soothing! Christina ("not Christine, like the car!") I'll laugh at this forever! Danita on nights with her stealth bp taking techniques and always making sure I had ice water! Alvin too.... Y'all are the best! Many thanks to the Lab and the many venipunctures in my 11 day admission.... Keyona, Hanna, Angel, Dawn...."Y'all are like vampires!" Most times I didn't even know I had been stuck, y'all are just that good! Michael in MRI for calming my fears with your Bon Jovi story, you rock! Literally!!! Travis for being so accommodating for my cardiac echo and renal ultrasound, putting me first at 6:30am was so appreciated.... Trajan in house keeping you kept my room so very clean! And who couldn't love Ms Dee (Deanna) in dietary?! Every day she found something that I could have with my various meat allergies. She's the best! And I can't leave out Maggie from Social Services, she's sweet, kind and accommodating! And a very special thank you to Dr Thompson, Dr Nugent and Candace Maggio PA of the CIS team.... I wasn't a text book case and y'all stuck with me! Thank you so very much!!! And of course thank you to the Hospitalist Dr Gene Schwartz and Dr Krooss for refining a discharge regimen that is helping me to have peace of mind and is actually helping maintain my blood pressure why I continue to fine answers.... And their are other names I just can't remember like the nurses in the ER.... Lane Regional is growing and it seems it is growing in the right way! We intentionally choose Lane Regional over going to a Baton Rouge hospital because we knew the care team would be more attentive and on a personal level.... And that notion was spot on!!!
