About Dr. Carol Smothers Swift, MD
Carol L. Smothers-Swift, MD, received her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, La. She served in the United States Air Force where she was the Director of Emergency Services in Kunsan Air Base, in the Republic of Korea and provided services in family medicine at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. Dr. Smothers is Board Certified in family medicine and has a special interest in preventative care for women, mothers, diabetes and obesity management. Dr. Smothers pursued medicine because she has always wanted to serve people especially in being a role model for young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds and helping women adjust to the challenges of evolving responsibilities from child care to elder care.
