About Dr. Kanwar Singh, MD- Cardiovascular Institute of the South
Dr. Kanwar Singh joined CIS in 2017 in Houma. Dr. Singh attended Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India where he earned his medical degree. He completed an internal medicine residency and a cardiology fellowship, where he was also named chief fellow. His electrophysiology fellowship was completed at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Singh is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He has experience in many research topics and has contributed to many peer-reviewed journals and abstracts.

Dr. Singh changed my life! I had been seeing a different Electrophysiologist in Baton Rouge who had performed 3 ablations on me within the last 8 years. All 3 of those procedures were failures. I had almost gave up any hope of ever getting back to normal. But, I knew I needed a second opinion. So in June of 2024, a good friend referred me to Dr. Singh at CIS. The first meeting I had with Dr. Singh, he insisted that I should have another ablation performed. On July 3rd, he performed the ablation and I have been in normal sinus rhythm ever sense. My heart function improved tremendously! Thank you Dr. Singh and staff for changing my life!
