Great care from Dr. Chris Hayden and the ER Care Team. Of course, we a little wait because we were not the only people who needed care. But, the wait was not too terribly long. Once we were admitted to Room ED3, Dr. Hayden assessed my autistic, slightly communicative son. My main concern was if my son was having another stroke like he did in 2022. I was heard and we were seen. Dr. Hayden let me know what tests he was going to have run and that we'd have a bit of a wait. We saw many nurses; one that stood out is Nurse Alisha [hopefully I didn't goof up her name]. Nurse Alisha advised me that I did the right thing as a mother of an adult autistic son--that I have to do on what I see because I know his baseline. I don't have anything negative to say because my primary provider is the Almighty who leads and guides me everyday. He gave us the right doctors and nurses and the ones I named in this posts were from Him. Thank you Dr. Hayden and the ER Care Team for being there for us on October 11, 2025.

I was impressed by how quickly they got me back after triage and started with an EKG. Staff at triage were very kind and helpful, as I had my family with me. After that, things went a bit downhill, as there were extremely long wait times in the ER room to see the doctor. The nurse was also very slow at accomplishing tasks, but she was nice. I voiced my concern abouy not having my nighttime dose of blood pressure medication. My blood pressure was high the entire time Iwas in the room. The nurse told me she would ask the doctor, but I discharged several hours later never hearing anything else about it or receiving the medication. I am also diabetic and was never offered anything to eat or drink. Not even a blood glucose check. They loaded me full of fluid then sent me on my way.

I have never left a bad review in my life. But today I feel compelled. I was in SMH today for illness I had never saw treatment for my veins in my legs were swelling, twisted up, knotted, and a couple even burst. I had one veins with knots on it for months now but it didn't hurt until the past couple of weeks. Also more and more veins started swelling. Instead of treating me like a patient first I was called on the phone and very rudely accused of leaving my room, WHEN I DIDN'T MOVE AN INCH! I'm not gonna mention positions or names because my goal isn't to get anyone in trouble. My goal is to hope the woman that treated me this way learns to not to the same to the next person. She apologized for the accusation, said it was because they had wrong room number. Even though she was rude I let it go and remained polite. But it was the following treatment that was unprofessional at best. She asked me what was wrong, and I explained it to her just as I did above except in greater detail. She asked, "what was your main concern?" So I repeated the above. Again THIS IS SOMETHING I'VE NEVER BEEN TREATED FOR. She said without ever actually telling me they were varicose veins "varicose veins aren't usually dangerous and don't usually hurt. What is your main concern, why are you here?" We went back and forth like this with me repeating my first statement, asking if it was 100% varicose veins, is there treatment, and is she sure it can't progress. And AGAIN without being clear on any treatment or even a firm answer as to what it was, she said, "well I can do an ultrasound to make sure there are no blood clots, but what is your main concern, why are you here?" I kept repeating over and over in great detail why i was there. She must have asked that statement so many times I started to think she believed that I had the answer to the questions I was asking her. So about the 5th time of her asking me how to treat MYSELF I got frustrated, and asked, "Is there no treatment for this or something, I'VE TOLD YOU WHY I'M HERE AND WHAT MY CONCERN IS, I'VE REPEATED MYSELF 5 TIMES I'VE BEEN IN FN PAIN, MY VEINS ARE EXPLODING!!! She then asked me the SAME question AGAIN! I just walked out. So, this could've all been avoided if this woman who was over my care would've just had a shred of compression and empathy. I don't know why individuals at that hospital are predisposition to not only not want to help individuals, but to treat them as if they have the answers and are waiting your time. I still have no idea what's going on with my legs, but I do know that that hospital had zero interest in finding out either. I'll go get care elsewhere. This hospital has failed multiple times to provide even the simplest of care, and their extremely rude while doing it. I came in there genuinely fearing that I might have an issue, and I wasn't given even the smallest ounce of empathy. Shame on you.

If i could give 0 stars i would! Shame on the labor and delivery department half the nurses need their licenses revoked! My daughter was sent how 3 times in excruciating pain of being in labor she kept being told that she was NOT IN LABOR THAT SHE WAS DEHYDRATED, im not an expert or a doctor but i definitely know what labor is and looks like my daughter almost had my first grandchild at home in her room, because of being neglected by the nurses and her obgyn! Had i not followed my first mind to take her back the child would've definitely been born at home by the time we made back 40min after being sent home for the 3rd time he was born shame on you guys shame!! It was to late for any type of pain relief doctor had hust made it in as the baby was already out, i wouldn't advise anyone to have a baby here its trash and its no mother baby support at all, please please do not deliver here thank God my daughter and the baby was healthy because things could've took a horrible turn.
