Dr. Hearne was my father's doctor at Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport, LA in the late 1980s. He was so compassionate and caring with my Daddy. When he made "rounds," he would sit beside Daddy on his hospital bed and reach over and pat Daddy's leg as he covered what was learned medically each day. One year later, my 39-year-old husband was admitted to Schumpert with heart issues and was in the ICU. I passed Dr. Hearne in the hall, he recognized and stopped me to inquire why I was there. WOW... We couldn't have had a more caring physician than Dr. Hearne!
