From the first moment when I walked into the lobby and was checked in for my outpatient procedure until the last moment as I was exiting and wheeled to my vehicle, Ochsner Kenner's bedside manners and hospitality are truly unmatched. I've been a patient in many healthcare facilities and have been cared for by many health professionals, and this is truly unseen and unheard of. I felt like I was interfacing with a team of ANGELS the entire time. So, this is what it is like to feel like a person and not just a number in a healthcare setting. Truly unbelievable. Imagine if everyone had the honor and privilege of being taken care of by these angels. Thank you all for everything. You are in great hands if you go here. 1000%

Super unsanitary. I was in the ER and I couldn't even sit on the cot because the sheets had mystery substances on them. The wall also had a big splatter on it of dried something. It is so loud and stress inducing. No one tells you what's going on. You would think that a hospital would be big on cleanliness but no, in the waiting room there's just boxes of random piled up crap and a disassembled Christmas tree. If you want to go to a good ER, go to Tulane Lakeside. They're very informative, they give you a warm blanket from a towel warmer, it's CLEAN, it's quiet, and private. My door was wide open the entire time for everyone to see me. I just wanted to get out of there.

What I can say is whoever I spoke to was very nice, but every word was a lie. I was told by someone here that they would start a case about how I was treated here. My nurse was extremely rude Everybody here is taught to push pain pills. I sat in the emergency room for hours waiting on a doctor only to be told that they are going to get me a room to do surgery in the morning no discussion or anything . Then when I told them that I wasn't staying They try to scare me into staying. I was sent from an urgent care in Laplace they already put the IV in my arm that I drove to Kenner with. This place only cares about making a profit. It doesn't care about you. Please find a place that is going to treat you versus milk you for money hen lie to you.

I have never been so disappointed in my life to see how the patients were being treated on the fourth floor. Food was close to uneatable with the scrambled eggs looking yellow mashed potatoes. The service was not good for the high expectations that Ochsner hospitals always seem to have. On various occasions there were over 15min wait times when calling the staff.

Recently d/c from this hospital from 5/27-6/1. This is my second time being admitted to this hospital. In April I had a good experience with the Drs. This go around, the Dr who was over me was HORRIBLE! She labeled me a drug seeker bc I live with chronic pain & have to be on pain medicine daily. She refused to give it to me & when I communicated with her I can't go w/out it. She eventually gave me a low dose of my pain med every 12hours instead of my normal dose every 4-6hours. By her labeling me a "drug seeker" was totally uncalled for bc she doesn't know my history with Crohn's disease & the pain I deal with daily. I've sent a complaint to Patient Relations & the nice lady there will pass my complain about this Dr along to higher people. Last time I was admitted in April the Drs were accommodating. This admission the RN's & CNA's were amazing. The nurses did ALL they could to convince the Dr to increase my meds bc they saw how much pain I was in. If I am ever admitted again to Kenner Ochsner, which I most likely will be due to my Crohn's and chronic health conditions, I do NOT want this Dr. Francois at all!! I even asked for a new Dr during my stay and that was denied. Now that I am home, I am still HIGHLY upset by the treatment I got from her & her keeping me in pain. She basically said it was all in my head & also in my notes (I read her notes from the care team daily) she said my husband was in drug rehab (which he's not), and that I have behaviors of a drug seeker. Again, she doesn't know my history with Crohn's & the amount of pain I deal with daily. She should not even be a Dr in my opinion. She needs to be corrected. Other than that, besides her treatment of me, the Nurses were excellent!
