Admited for surgery. Dr. Jakob was my assigned surgeon, instead of pushing my surgery out Dr. Golightly performed it. The surgery staff was absolutely amazing. My floor nurse Allen was amazing as well, his job isn't just a job! Yes! I went down the rabbit hole and read all of the reviews 2 hours before my surgery and some of them I was very taken back and nervous over. All in all my experience was great! Thank you to everyone who had a hand in Triage and care.

I would give 5 stars but I feel like they released my grandmother to therapy way too soon!! And She is now right back at this hospital! I feel safer with her being her than at that nursing home for rehab! I want to thank everyone caring for her and want to give a BIG shot out to the girl on the 3rd floor this evening, I belive her name is Kajah Mcknight. She came and helped me herself to change my grandma's bed and wipe her clean after she wet her bed! She was so kind and gentle as well. So thank you!

Some of the nurses are very rude and dont care about the patients. All the lactation ladies are very rude except for Ms. Lacey. Ms. Melanie was also the only nurse who made me feel heard and actually cared about how i felt ! Also the 2nd time i've been here to have a baby and both experiences were bad so wont be back again for sure.

I've been going to ochsner for 9 years. They have delivered all three of my children however for the last 2 or 3 months they have rescheduled my appointments without any given explanation. I am highly upset because I have taken off of work several times for appointments that's keeps getting rescheduled. 1/5 i do not recommend scheduling an appointment with them for anything.

The first time I went in with pancreatitis with Liver problems for 5 days on the 3rd floor. The negative experience this time was just the emergency room took over 5 hours to see me while screaming in pain couldn't move and watch them take people that came in after before me until the hall was almost empty. However The Nursing was great caring staff on the 3rd floor first experience.
Realesed saying nothing was wrong just pancreatitis pain. Went home, 2 days in same miserable 24hr pain My Primary Md saw me told me I needed to immediately go back that I was in terrible pain and misery and suggested my gallbladder be removed that was inflamed filled with fluid. So went back this time 5th floor 570 horror, torture tactics, unprofessional, Neglegence and horrible care. I was ignored, when I tried to speak to explain my frustrations of the lack listening to the patient they said I was being rude. Almost an hour late on my medication time every time even when I'd call 10 minutes ahead to give them time. I was treated like no human or pet should ever be treated and neglected. They even cancelled my pain medication because they was mad that I spoke up for myself just to make me suffer. One time they gave me IV pain meds and fluids and it hurt so bad because it went all into my arm not my bloodstream by not flushing and checking first. Swollen pain in my arm in even more pain now. CT guy had to remove it and get a good mid line IV that actually worked. Certain doctor would switch my medication to the absolute lowest dose while in 10 + pain couldn't even move. Up down rollercoaster of terror. Never asked me once of my regular medications nor did care. No blood pressure medicine, or anxiety meds for the 3 days. Literally almost stepped on a needle getting out my bed. They neglected me the whole day post op right out surgery playing med games while crying in agonizing pain. Told me they were discharging me. Bp 183/136 No nurse no help close to a stroke tingling finger and toes in horrible pain. Still nothing. Finally 45 minutes later after 3 hours of extreme pain she said she had o.5 but I'd have to stay 6 more hours in hell then get straight discharged still in bad condition.
Do not send your animals or any living thing to that 5th floor. You just hear screaming in pain all over and literally you could have a stroke and they wouldn't care or be there for about 30/45 minutes. You could literally die from this type of care. It was a traumatic experience. It's all about the staff. One good caring actual nurse/doctor can change everything. You can tell the one's that actually care about people and stand by there oath. Then other hateful uncaring staff that don't care if you live or die. Just a job for money. Very very sad and they should not be caretakers of anyone. I left in severe pain with blood pressure 183/118 because I was so miserable with no help. Don't be silent when you are being mistreated and unheard. I feel sorry for the next person that goes under that care. It's unethical and malpractice. Left me we with no medicine or nothing. My voice will be heard for me and others who have to endure such misery and disrespect.
