David Andrew Van De Car, DO

This was the 1st time I had ever been to Dr. Van de Car, and I was beyond pleased from start to finish. All of the expected boxes were checked: a prompt check-in, minimal wait time before being seen to an examination room, quick assessment of the vitals, followed by barely a pause before being seen by Dr. Van de Car directly. Throughout the process, the individual staff members were professional and courteous yet friendly, and the doctor really made me feel like he was putting thought and care into my situation and plan forward, never giving any impression of being rushed - though I am sure that he was. He asked questions and listened, obviously pausing to combine my input with his expertise; he really made me feel like we were partners in my future well-being. I'd be remiss, however, if I didn't mention that the Sonogram and Stress Test that Dr. Van de Car ordered were not only scheduled immidiately - within minutes (and I know that this isn't always possible) but the two technicians that performed those tests were both AMAZING. I can't remember to save my life the name of the lady of Asian descent that walked me through the Sonogram, but she made it a super enjoyable learning experience, really bringing me into what was going on, and Sydney [sic?] LITERALLY walked me through the Stress Test while showing a fantastic level of obvious care and empathy for the patient. All of the above certainly combines to not only make this office a stand-out among others, but also importantly helps a stressful time just a bit more bearable. Thank you Dr. Van de Car & team!

Dr. Van de Car is an outstanding and patient interventional cardiologist that is knowledgeable and experienced. I am so pleased that he will be my partner in managing my cardiovascular health. His entire staff and care team are exceptional and I look forward to growing this relationship.

Dr. Van De Car was very thorough in explaining my test results and answered all my questions in depth. He did not rush my appointment in any way and is extremely polite. I left knowing the things I can do to improve my own health and what things he was willing to do to improve my health moving into the future. I walked away confident in my knowledge of my heart health and his professionalism.

While I understand that doctors aren't required to have a personal relationship with their patients, I sensed a disconnect overall. My first visit, support staff were a little personable, and my doctor's visit seemed business and to the point. My follow up, I felt as though I was being discharged before being provided with any of my test results. This left me wondering whether it was simply an oversight or a lack of concern. I voiced my concerns regarding both tests, and from that point on, he seemed more attentive. Moving forward, I would really value the opportunity to build a stronger doctor-patient relationship.

I'm very pleased with the care I receive from Dr Van De Car. I feel extremely confident in his ability to handle my needs. His assistant is wonderful at her job and at making you comfortable.
