Does not communicate well and is very rude to patients! Just told me "your heart looks a ok...will see you in a year" and I turned around and had a heart attack and arrested. I do not have any confidence in Dr. Hawthorne...I only saw him 1 time outside of the hospital visit...and now he will not give permission for me to see another cardiologist at Louisiana Cardiology because after 1 visit I am an "ESTABLISHED" patient. I had the heart attack March 31,2025 and have not been to a cardiologist since because he will not release me to another doctor. BEWARE....if your GP sends you to a cardiologist in that group you are STUCK with the one you go to if you see them just ONE time! How can you be concerned about the patients health if you knowingly will not allow them seek medical help just to keep them as your patient! At the Lake the PATIENT does NOT HAVE A CHOICE!

At 73 y/o I've been to several cardiologists and countless other doctors, but I have to honestly say, Dr. Hathorn is not only the best Cardiologist I've seen, he is probably the best doctor in any field that I've been treated by. He is very easy to talk to, down-to-earth, makes extra effort to explain your diagnosis without "talking down" to you, and is extremely knowledgable in his field. Most importantly, he takes his time with you and doesn't "rush out the door" when your 10 minutes is up! I feel so blessed to know I can count on the medical care he provides!

This man saved my life!! After a heart attack at 2:00 am in the morning. I was cather & stinted and in a room in 1 hour! I was a heavy smoker and under a lot of stress. I quit that night on the operating table and never looked back. I took responsibility for my health after that night since GOD saved me through Dr. Hathorn! I followed his suggestions and I am now in the BEST health I've ever been in my life!! EVERYTIME I have a concern, he sees me immediately and performs any test right there and patiently reviews the results with me!! I just love him and his staff! The irritation, I think, as with many physicians, is they save your life and you never make any lifestyle changes to make you better! That would frustrate me too! I took his advice and I am now living my BEST LIFE!! He is smart, efficient, funny, calming, and knows what he is doing!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM! I'm alive because of him! I DO NOT TAKE THIS FOR GRANTED! God blessed me beyond measure by bringing him to me! Thank You God and Thank You Dr. Hathorn!

Dr. Hathorn saved my dad's life. He has been the best cardiologist my dad could have asked for. He is skilled and knowledgeable. I'm thankful for all he has done.
