Dr. Amit Patel, a native of India, joined Cardiovascular Institute of the South in 2010 as an interventional cardiologist. Dr. Patel completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Pramukh Swami Medical College in India. He began his post-graduate training at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, where he also completed his internal medicine residency. Dr. Patel received his cardiovascular medicine fellowship and his interventional cardiology fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Patel is board certified in internal medicine, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and interventional cardiology.

My first visit with Dr. Patel I was very pleased. Very personable, understanding and listened to my concerns regarding a procedure I have to have. Very informative with his explanation. I will return in three weeks for a follow up to discuss procedure options. It's very important that the patient(me) is included on making a sound decision on my livelihood. He makes me feel that way.
