UK Kentucky Children's Hospital Congenital Heart Clinic

A hassle to get an appointment. We wanted to get a second opinion on a diagnosis, but the "geniuses" who schedule appointments at UK insisted on requiring a referral from the cardiologist who gave us the first diagnosis! Not very bright, as it defeats the whole purpose of getting a second opinion! We ended-up taking our son to INOVA Fairfax in Virginia instead. No hassle to make the first appointment, we got in very fast, and we feel more confident with the institution anyways.

Not specifically the congenital heart portion, but the outpatient infusing part is exceptional. The doctors, nurses, nursing care techs, and other staff definitely have the child patient in mind. They are fantastic in working with and talking to the children, and a wonderful in explaining everything to the parents. After only one visit, I was pleased that the staff remembered my child from 2 weeks previous. I anticipate that they will still remember my child on the next treatment day. They do everything they can to keep the child content. I'm thankful for that so my child isn't traumatized by having to be in the hospital. I look forward to our next visit.

Not too surprised at the billing review but we have had great experiences with most of the Dr. My sons surgeon was phenomenal blessed are his hands. Mohan is kinda of a jerk but what young heart dr isn't I'm sure. Lefebvre is top notch saved my child's life a couple of times. Had one spout with one of the nurses but that was quickly resolved. I would highly recommend this clinic and dr.lefebvre to anyone.

They do have good pediatric cardiologists. If you use Google map navigation, it directs you to the front door, instead of the parking garage. Which is fine if you are dropping off a patient, but annoying if you plan on parking. They do validate parking for patients.

Keeping memories of athletes that contributed to sports and inspiring younger generations to emulate them is kind of cool
