Dr. Johnsrude is quite literally the best EP specialist we could have had work with our son. He was part of a team that had to decide if my son's symptoms were purely electrical or structural. The entire rest of the cardiac team (who we also have so much faith in and respect for) felt like the symptoms were from his heart rhythm- but Dr Johnsrude insisted that while his rhythm looked really bad, he knew that they were "true, true, and unrelated." This prompted additional testing that led to finding a life threatening congenital defect. My son then had surgery two days later that greatly improved his symptoms and had him back to being an active child again. Dr Johnsrude continued to work with him on the rhythm issues and later did an ablation which took extreme precision and skill as it was not coming from the area of the heart that that type of issue normally comes from. Now that my son is an adult, he began having a different rhythm issue and I requested that he see Dr. Johnsrude again as we have developed great trust in his skill and knowledge of complex heart issues.

Dr Johnsrude diagnosed and treated my 3 year old son for SVT. He later performed a catheter ablation. Both Dr Johnsrude and his nurse Barbara are absolutely amazing. They drew us pictures, answered millions of questions, and held our hands through all of it. They loved my little boy and went over and beyond for us. We will be forever grateful for them.
