Patient
Dr. Courtade is one of a handful of cardiologists at the St. E's Heart & Vascular clinic. It takes three (3) months to make an appointment. On two out of two visits, Courtade was late by over 40 minutes early in the morning. No apology. "He runs late." "Each patient is different". "Be glad you have an appointment." This is called Patient Stacking. They make appointments too close to each other knowing not one minute of the doctor's time will be wasted, while you lose an hour of your time waiting. An appointment is a contract for both parties to show up at the agreed upon time. If you are late, they charge you. As you wait over an hour for your appointment, the practice does not pay you for the time you've lost. Go elsewhere. Insist on an appointment that will be honored by the doctor, or send the doctor a bill for an hour of your time - $150. If they don't pay, take them to Small Claims Court. Suddenly they will pay and offer and apology. But why bother? Just avoid the practice completely.
