Patient
Visit #3 at Kentucky Heart & Vascular with Dr. Reda El-Shiek in Elizabethtown, Kentucky After receiving a referral from my Primary Care Manager, Dr. El-Shiek's office contacted me to schedule my initial visit. The friendly and helpful scheduler verified my information, and within minutes, I had a scheduled appointment. [One thing they did not have, like other larger practices, is appointment reminders. No email, no text, no phone call reminder] As a resident of Radcliff/FKKY, I appreciated the convenience of Dr. El-Shiek's location in Elizabethtown. The drive was easy and relatively short, and the facility was easy to find, making it a much more appealing option than traveling to Louisville. The office's location also offers ample parking and easy accessibility. The waiting area has really comfortable couches that make you want to relax and sleep while waiting (even though it was a short wait to see the cardiologist). Each time I have gone, there were not a lot of people waiting to be seen, indicating that patients are seen on time and the doctor is not overwhelmed with patients. During my appointment, Dr. El-Shiek took the time to thoroughly discuss my medical heart health in a clear, concise, and easily understandable manner. His warm and approachable demeanor immediately put me at ease, allowing me to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing my concerns. However, I did notice one habit that raised some concerns as it is a pet peeve of mine - Dr. El Sheik frequently licked his finger to turn pages in my medical chart. Yuck! My experience with Dr. Reda El-Shiek and his team were really positive, despite the aforementioned concern. From the seamless scheduling process to the outstanding patient care. If you're a resident of Radcliff/Etown/FKKY or surrounding areas, I still highly recommend Dr. El-Shiek for your cardiology needs.
