Patient
I had an appointment with Dr. Cameron today. He's been my surgeon for approximately seven years. I find him to be professional and pleasant. Not only is he my surgeon, I've worked as a Scheduler, scheduling his vascular surgical procedures. The check in staff, ultrasound technician, and medical assistant... all were friendly and very professional. Today, I felt unseen and unheard by my surgeon. I had a brief list of questions prepared to ensure I utilized my appointment time efficiently. Today I felt as if my concerns weren't genuinely heard and/or acknowledged. For me it was the additional staff in the room with no introduction, the lack of sitting and making eye contact, the lack of communication. We didn't review my ultrasound results as we've done in times past. In all fairness, as he was exiting the room, he asked " any more questions" ? I was dishonest and said no. I at that point realized " my allotted time was up ". I fully realize healthcare is broken. Everyone is overworked and understaffed... and greatly underpaid. As a healthcare professional-I felt like a number today, specifically with my in-room exam. This is my first non positive review ever. I'm saddened by today's experience. Dr. Cameron is still the GOAT .. when it comes to vascular surgery. Perhaps today was busier than normal. He is human and Grace abounds for him. I did call the front desks and inquire about discussing my US results-I was informed those results aren't immediate anymore.
