Kansas City Heart Rhythm Institute - Overland Park

Dr. Lakkireddy is my primary cardiologist at this facility. He is absolutely one of the finest and most caring doctors that I have ever been treated by. He is friendly but professional and listens carefully to me and ensures that I am well cared for not only by him but by other doctors as well. He is one of two cardiologists that I see and he did an amazing job implanting my lead-less pacemaker. Now he not only ensures it is running correctly but also that everything else is as well.

Very poor communication from the office staff and nurses, I call and leave messages and leave messages on patient portal don't get a return call even though the recording says allow 48 hours for a return call. I had testing done October 14th have left many messages to get test results and no return call from the office. I am not sure if this is more of Dr Tammula and his staff or if it is all providers at Kansas City Heart and rhythm institute.

My experience with Dr. G and his team was absolutely terrible. My first appointment was 3 hours long and I only say the doctor for less than 15 minutes. When explaining my issues he was very dismissive and ignored my most troubling symptoms. He had no interest in getting to a root cause, but just kept repeating how after a test we could explore medications. I waited a month for my test appointment and then a month for the follow up only for it to be canceled the day before because he was sick. Which I understand is beyond their control, but when I tried to reschedule they pushed me out another month! I explained very politely how unacceptable that was and they just did not care. They called me back and I explained that I have had a very unpleasant experience with them and that I would just rather find a new doctor at this point. The nurse said, "Well I'm sorry you feel that way, and have a nice day." Feel free to read that with disdain because that is exactly how she said it. I was very surprised because she was very kind a moment before and I wasn't mad or anything. I just feel like Dr. G has too many patients to offer the level of care I need. Overall, I would not recommend for anything, but especially dysautonomia care. He does not believe in POTs so do not come here for POTs treatment.

No issues with the initial visit. However, post visit communication is poor. Left 3 messages with answering service on sequential days but no call back. Left message on the portal and did get a call back, then nothing. Very frustrating. I have since moved on to another Cardiac group.

My 90 year old mother is seen here. I find the schedulers and nurses less than pleasant. Wait time the last few times has been 2 hours which is totally unacceptable. The drs we see are very good but the staff and wait time are important too because they represent the practice. Unimpressed with all of my interactions with them.
