Dr. Huerter is an outstanding physician and could be a poster-child for MVIP. The problem, of course, is that MVIP should be the national model for physician care, and it should be available to all Americans for free by means of national medical insurance. (Good luck with that.)

Dr. Huerter is a wonderful doctor. He listens to you very carefully, almost never rushes you. His bedside manner is very personable and caring. He visits you regularly when you are in the hospital and does not rely on Hospitalists to take care of you when you are admitted. Usually visits you at least twice daily during your stay. His staff are all very good, too. Just all around the perfect doctor and honest when he does not know for sure what is going on.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Huerter. He is all that a primary care physician should be. He takes the time to talk about health care issues, and he is obviously very knowledgeable. He acts promptly when follow ups or referrals are needed. He is a great listener and always discusses the pros and cons for different possible treatments. It is clear that he really cares about his patients.
