Waverly Health Center

I recently had a hernia repair surgery at Waverly Health Center performed by Dr. Henry. The overall experience was very great. Dr. Henry did a great job with the surgery, and I'm thankful for his skill and care. The nurses were especially wonderful -- they explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. The anesthesia team was also great and helped everything go smoothly. I'm thankful my first surgery was performed by Dr. Henry. I really appreciate everyone at Waverly Health Center for the excellent care I received.

I would not recommend this walk-in clinic for pediatric care. There are no pediatric specialists on staff, and despite bringing my son in twice within one week due to ongoing concerns, my concerns were not adequately addressed. During the second visit, I specifically raised concerns about my son's breathing; however, the provider did not perform a thorough examination of his chest. Additionally, the provider had physical contact with my child without wearing a mask & kissed my two month old son on his cheek, (during RSV season) which I found unprofessional. Shortly afterward, I took my son to the emergency department at Allen Hospital, where he was admitted to the pediatric unit and hospitalized for two weeks. This experience left me with serious concerns regarding the level of care provided.

On Saturday night. I drove a friend in the snow to the waverly iowa emergency center. I had been working 12 hours that day and was tired. I took a nap and was woke up by an aggressive woman and a young man that were trying to intimate me they said go to the corner and sleep or leave. Is that what they call health care? They were confirmed by my friend that I was they to help and not cause a problem. I will never in my life step foot into that hospital. They do not care about the people they are helping and I will show them the same respect when they walk into my place of business. Destsusting. Even considering the fact that iowa is doubling our health insurance this year. These people need to loose there jobs. The Hispanic manager who work the night shift and the midway island intimidator. How can I trust an organization that treats people this way. Answer, I won't. Don't go to this facility.

For my fist emergency visit, I had the best care and experience! I was kept informed of all procedures, tests, and labs. The nurses and doctors had great bed side manner and always asked about my comfort.

The entire staff at the Waverly Health Center outpatient surgery clinic were friendly, helpful, and professional. I was treated very well! Highly recommend Dr. Garrett and all the nurses involved.
