Patient
LAWSUITS should happen!! IF YOU have been neglected at this hospital & have suffered for it with proof like I have (recorded conversations of them lying & more without their consent as this a a ONE consent state), I would get a contingency lawyer & SUE! You have 2 yr to do this. After I dealt with INCOMPETENCE at the ER, telling me I'm okay to go home and care for myself, while bleeding out of the back of my foot after having foot surgery here TWICE; a KIND hospitalist finally helped. The hospital is nice LOOKING, some staff were kind, food okay, nice rooms, yet if you tell them you know something's wrong, report it to a patient advocate, or house nurse, you WILL get treated badly! I cried in pain begging for pain meds many times (ignored even though your told to stay ahead of pain ), kept telling them I have LOTS of allergies (didn't really pay attention see the rash from whatever they put on me, in pics), I had to hop (with a bad spine & foot surgery) to clean my own commode as the tech didn't want to. After being pushed to leave, a social worker said I would have in home healthcare come help me at home, that was a LIE! No one showed, and as an old unit coordinator I SHOULD have checked my discharge instructions (was so tired) as they did not say discharge to in home health. I called & told their social worker that I need help still & she didn't care. So my friend, with no CNA skills, & myself did our best to take care of all needed. I am still suffering years later waiting on a foot surgeon who went to DMU for another surgery in Minneapolis, (preferably a surgeon who went to DMU, best in the WORLD for foot/ankle) MN. DONT bring any loved one here unless you're wealthy, as it's like a $ making machine! I go around EVERYWHERE & tell people AVOID NOT MERCIFUL ONE!! They need to take that cross OFF the bldg, as it means NOTHING to them sadly. Don't like suggesting Allen hospital anymore either, yet they are a bit better. I suggest: MOVING to a real city with actual health care for all. Especially ones that ENCOURAGE the use of med/rec green for pain & more like they did in CO, it helped a LOT! People here are stuck in the past & don't understand that marijuana is WAY better for you than man made drugs! 2 stars, for SOME of the kind staff & nice rooms.
