My experience with Mercy One Iowa Heart Center Iowa City with Dr Spas Kotev was very thorough and reassured me that my heart was in good condition even with mild CAD. I needed to make some life changes to help myself and he gave me the courage to do just that.
The scheduling is an issue. The merger with U of Ia has created issues without direct answers. It's not like it used to be. Really hate to see our Mercy Hospital being trifled away with. It feels like "the beginning of the end of our community based care". Indeed a sad moment for this community it has served. It feels like it is being hybridized and I am concerned for the employees and the care plan changing. Does anybody else feel this way? This is an issue that is evolving now, and nobody has answers yet.
Unprofessional nurses, no knowledge, they should just stick to taking vitals and thats it! Pt care is important and they have 0 care! The doctor didn't even review the only issue I came for! So why even talk to someone who doesn't want to listen and help! Very sad to have even followed up in this place! I was referred to them for an emergent thing! Now I can't trust them to even tell me anything!
