I would like to provide Dr. Piper with a 5 star rating. Although my husband had wonderful care and results for surgery, he does have to follow up to assure everything is in line. I understand he has to pay a copay for his x-ray yet I have never heard of paying a copay for post op care. That was $70 to each provider today. In addition the receptionist, Beverly, has ALWAYS been rude at every check in, even as a new patient. If it were based on her rudeness and lack of customer service, we would NEVER come back to this office. Beverly gets a zero rating for customer care and a 100 rating for being the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered at a Dr's office in all my 58 years!

First of all, never in my life did I have to wait a half hour after my scheduled time to see a doctor. I was There on time and everything. But I'm an understanding person for the most part so I'm not even that angry about that. What I AM angry about is Dr. Wetjen He was rude, he was dismissive, he was entirely uninterested in my pain, he didn't even LOOK at my MRIs for my neck just my back. He didn't have an answer for anything. I just kept getting "I don't know what they'll do. I don't know I don't know I don't know." So I'm soooo glad I went to see a doctor for my severe pain and he didn't know anything about it! I was in the middle of asking a question and he got up told me goodbye and left the room. He gave me one option to fix my pain with no explanation as to why that's the best option other than "I'm too young for surgery." That's not an answer, buddy! He looked at my MRI and only covered one thing. Didn't even look at my paper work about the OTHER THREE PROBLEMS. My friend that was with me had to chase him down and say "Um are you even going to address her other problems?" His was respond was "oh, I didn't realize she had other problems." Oh; well maybe you should READ MY CHARTS OR LOOK AT THE MRIS MY DOCTOR SENT OVER?! I'm completely dissatisfied with this clinic and this doctor. The lack of communication was entirely unprofessional. He didn't ask me enough questions to get to the bottom of the problem. He was in the room for maybe five minutes AND we had to go FIND him to get the rest of my answers. You're a doctor. You're supposed to care about your patients. You clearly don't. I will be reporting this incident. I will not be treated like that and I will not allow my pain to be dismissed. I also will never go back to Iowa Clinic again. I would put zero stars but it won't let me.

First of all it is crazy and you gotta be lucky to find a parking spot and its huge hospital, let me tell you guys something. I have been with the Iowa clinic for years and not even one time that I dont have to wait at least 20 minutes before I see the doctor now keep that in mind it's okay for them to keep us waiting and not okay for us to be late 10 minutes I was late 10 minutes because I was looking around for parking spot then I got to find the office in the huge building and the lady doctor I dont remember her name she was supposed to see me fir the pain in my leg she said she wont see me because I was 10 minutes late!!! Like are you kidding me you always making us wait long time in fact last month I got a surgery and they say dont eat from midnight and my surgery was at 11:40am and I was sitting no water no food all the way till past 2pm till I got to do my surgery so its okay for them to make us wait but its not okay for us to be late keep in mind I called and left a voicemail because I wanted to file a complaint and like last time when the dr got my hand broused so bad from the IV no one return my call or no one seems to care and ig you try to complain thru threaten you of not seeing you again I mean like give me a break I dont care about all your clinic and your staff all what I care about is my health and I respect my family doctor who is unfortunately work with the Iowa clinic and his nurse other then these too people I have not seen anything good from this clinic and by far the management is terrible from experience. So I was contact the city of Des Moines and see in what law that we can wait but you cant? Not fair right? All of you guys is a joke. Point blank.

Disappointed in Dr Wetjens care. It'd be nice if he'd actually take time to answer questions. He was ready to get up and walk out after a MINUTE IN A HALF. Please have some bed side manner.
