Dr. Shubha Deep Roy grew up in India and attended a top medical school there. He then served in the Indian Army as a physician and decorated medical officer for seven years. Thereafter, he came to the United States to advance his training -- where he completed seven additional years of training at The University of Missouri - Kansas City and The University of Iowa. Dr. Roy joined The Iowa Clinic because he shares the same philosophy to improve the health of patients through collaborative care, compassion and relationship-building. Dr. Roy chose interventional cardiology because it is rewarding to save lives and offer pain relief to patients suffering from an acute heart attack.

When I was rushed by ambulance to the emergency room at Methodist hospital in Des Moines. I thank God that Dr. Shubha Deep Roy was there. A man who is an expert in his field. I absolutely consider myself a very lucky and a very thankful person to have crossed paths with this man.
I was having a heart attack. Dr. Roy was consulted in the ER and took me to the cath lab for intervention. He was very knowledgeable and provided excellent care.
I had an excellent experience with this Iowa Clinic location. I went to see the Cardiologist and he listened to everything I was saying about my issues. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything to me in details. I also had to go to the Urgent Care due to an infection and the Nurse Sophia and the P.A. (I forgot her name) were so caring and patient taking care of me. I live here all by myself and hard times happen when you get sick, so people like those are greatly appreciated. They make you feel like they care and they want to make sure you got everything you need. Thank you so much for the whole team!
In all my years of being alive.l trusted NO ONE until I was taken there. I had died 3 times and em's. In ottuma saved me. And was brought there. I was treated with the best care I could have. I was scared to death for open heart.but afterwards I felt better. Now I'm up for a pacemaker and I met Dr Roy and I'm not worried all. My Dr. In ottumwa and that whole hospital and staff. I THANK YOU ALL FOR KEEPING ME ALIVE.
