I would not recommend Dr. Fernando. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional during my dad's ER visit for multiple blood clots in his lungs. Dr. Fernando, who was on duty at the time, made an inappropriate comment about my dad's weight, asking him, 'When are you having that baby?' On a prior visit, my dad had expressed concerns about his health, but Dr. Fernando dismissed them and failed to take them seriously. That same day we followed up with another one of my dad's cardiologist and she took him off one of his medications since it was dropping his HR in the 40's!

It gives me great pleasure to write a review for Dr. Fernando. I have been his patient for over a year. Being a retired physician myself I was worried about my health as I was having complications with CAD, post CABG complications, hypertension and diabetes. On my first visit I was surprised and reassured as he had already reviewed my file and test results and knew my problems. Apart from that his broad smile and easy manners reassured me further. As we discussed medial issues, treatment, medications and side effects; I found him very pleasant, comforting, and reassuring as he told me to call him if I had any questions. Most patients are afraid of the unknown as they enter a doctors office. They feel Insecure and need a physician to remove their fears, address their problems, and associate with their humanity. Dr. Fernando helped allay my anxiety, comforted me, and also said call me if you have any questions. It has been pleasant going to doctors visit knowing that he cares. I would recommend Dr. Fernando to any cardiac patient. One will not feel intimidated due to white coat syndrome. He is friendly, articulate, and understanding.

Being new to the community
And unfamiliar with cardiologists here I have had the good fortune of becoming associated with Dr. Fernando. He is particularly good at listening to my concerns and takes the time to explain as well as responding to them. His entire medical support team and entire office are all efficient and professional.
