Absolutely disgusting conditions in the ER. Brought my daughter in and the room was filled with blood splatter and caps from needles. They were completely dead so there was no reason for it, not to have been cleaned. This is how people get staph infections.

Usually never have a problem going here, but after waiting two and a half hours in pain (oh wait. I still have it) and FIVE people had gone before me.... so I ordered food because naturally I was getting hungry. Basically got kicked out because theres no food in the ER even though theres no signs saying no outside food or drink allowed. When asked when a room would be available some snotty woman answered with "well I could lie to you and say 10 minutes" when all I wanted was to be seen by a damn doctor. Wont be going here today after the horrible service I received.

Any decent medical care overshadowed by mercenary and incompetent billing practices. The following has happened twice. We've been turned into collections on a small billing amount while submittal/resubmittal/pending insurance payment was in process (which isn't even legal). The most recent collections notice was issued to me by text on Thanksgiving. A little extra dig there, I guess. The either don't bill our secondary (which my husband actually works for as an insurance processor) or the bill it incorrectly. My husband will typically make several calls, they will tell him they are resubmitting (or in this case submitting first time since they don't appear to have) and then turn our bill into collections anyways for some good ole american holiday harassment. I don't know if we've ever had a Mercy visit billed correctly the first time. We've ended up paying coinsurance we legally didn't have to just to get them off of our backs. Meanwhile my husband and mother use PCI. I and the kids use Mercy, but that's about to change because not one PCI bill has been a struggle. The proper billing procedure is if insurance is involved (and it is, we have TWO, including my husband's company) and the insurance was submitted incorrectly (it is every bleedin' time) a facility is NOT supposed to send to collections while the claim is unresolved or under rebill. Well they have done-twice. My husband, an employee of our secondary, was lied to by Mercy's farmed out 3rd party billing office in a galaxy far far away. Because they tell him it's being resubmitted (or submitted in the first place because often they don't do that). We ALWAYS submit both our insurance cards at visit so there's literally no excuse for the colossal ineptitude. This is a terrible shame because my children's care is going to get interrupted as is mine but I'm not going to let my credit get destroyed by an office that simply seems incapable of doing its job. Yes, this seems like a karen post but honestly how would you feel receiving a collection notice on thanksgiving despite the fact that you didn't do anything wrong, THEY did. It really makes me sad because in particular the pediatric staff has been fantastic. But like I said we simply can't afford this

My son had to stay about four days and unfortunately he was placed on the fifth floor. He was NOT allowed to have an overnight visitor per the first nurse. However a day or two later a nurse asked his guest if she was staying overnight and they told her they were told she couldn't stay. It seems the Nursing supervisor and the 5th floor doesn't allow anyone an overnight support person! It seems this should be a hospital policy not an independent decision made by someone who isn't even there overnight! And they are terrible about answering emails!

Literally the worst service I am an African-American female, and I have an eye problem that is semi serious went in. I didn't have a single person look at me check me out or anything. All they did was referred to me to an eye doctor, which they didn't even make the appointment I had to do that. And then try to charge me almost $500 for a visit that I didn't get touched or even looked at. This is the worst hospital I've ever been to. Steer clear if you actually want help.
