Illinois Dermatology Institute - Munster Office

After getting my biopsy results back I needed to see a dermatologist quickly. Dr Ruchik Desai office get me in asap. When setting up my appt they had several locations and worked with me to find the best option. The check in process for a new pt was quick and easy and the front staff was helpful. Waiting time was minimal and the nurse was kind and reassuring. With an appt that was kind of nerve wrecking, Dr. Desai had amazing bedside manner, talked to us like we were friends, explained the results in a manner that was easy to process and before we left he had a plan of action in place. Would give more than 5 stars.

I DO NOT recommend this place if you're an uninsured patient depending on this third party lab for "deep discounted testing". Dr Pyle was a complete professional, with a warm, compassionate, and caring vibe. What my problem was is that I was a Non-Insured patient, and ended up with a third-party laboratory bill way over my quote. I was quoted $40 for my biopsy and signed a document with that quote on paper, consenting for treatment of ONLY A BIOPSY. I left, received my results after a few weeks, and was content with the practice. Until my bill for over $700 from the laboratory came in the mail. After speaking with Lisa, the office coordinator, she assured me the bill was fixed and to expect a new bill of my original quoted price. Another month later and my new bill arrived of over $300. After a frustrating call with the ProPath Laboratory, they refuse to adjust my bill and gave every excuse of why they couldn't. Apparently, 2 additional tests were done along with my biopsy for full results. NO ONE, not PROPATH, nor the clinic contacted me for authorization of these tests, or even notified me that they were being performed. Let alone their price. I contacted Lisa hoping to get this resolved, but all she told me was that I'm stuck with this bill. Would've love to continue using their services and continue to refer them to my friends and family, but not after this.

Dr Pyle was very friendly and professional. Very thorough and communicated her plan going forward for me in great detail. Left feeling much better than when I walked in. Staff and Dominique (her nurse) were very welcoming and professional as well. Facility is well located and clean.

Everyone from the ladies at front desk, nurse, Dr Pyle, to check out ladies were so nice and helpful! Dr Pyle was great at listening to me and talking about options. I am from Illinois and have always drove back to my dermatologist. So happy that have found a wonderful Dr in Indiana. I will be back!

I visited the Munster office for a cyst removal, Marisol was there to help Dr. Kahn and the two of them were a fantastic team and it was such a wonderful experience given the circumstances. The entire procedure was painless, I was in and out of the office quickly and everybody was friendly. Dr. Kahn asked my preference of music and played it the entire time and spoke to me throughout the process. I would definitely recommend the office, more specifically, Marisol and Dr. Kahn to anybody looking for help.
