Community Cardiology Center

This review is for an 11-hour visit at Community Cardiac Outpatient on 4/4/25 for an uncomplicated angiogram. My first six hours were spent waiting with three changes of nurses who periodically told me that my procedure was next. It wasn't. In the seventh hour Dr. David A. Stewart came to me for permission to substitute for the doctor assigned to me, whom I never saw. We exchanged pertinent info, and then Stewart's team had a dinner break. After the procedure Dr. Stewart expedited my observation time and discharge, long after Outpatient closing at 8pm. I never intended to comment or post a review of this event because Dr. Stewart's skill, expertise and patient-focused manner mitigated all that went wrong that day. Now that Dr. Stewart has been abruptly terminated he is no longer available to mitigate again for me or others in northwest Indiana. His review would be 5 stars. Health decisions and procedures staddle the line of fear and hope. Health care bureaucrats stand in lead shoes on the side of fear while Dr. Stewart brings his patients along with him on the side of hope. He has Power.

Shame on you, Powers Health, for the decision to terminate Dr. Stewart. By prioritizing politics and power over patient care, you have demonstrated a grave disregard for the very people you claim to serve. Dr. Stewart is an exceptional physician--professional, compassionate, and deeply dedicated to his patients. His integrity and skill will ensure he thrives wherever he practices. It is your patients who will suffer from this decision. Lives are put at risk when trusted, competent doctors are cast aside for reasons unrelated to the quality of their care. You will feel the consequences when patients choose not to return. Dr. Stewart is irreplaceable. His absence will not only diminish the quality of care within your system, but it will also stand as a stark reminder of the values you chose to abandon.

Its shameful that Powers Health terminated Dr David A Stewart. His patients are now left with cancelled appointments and unscheduled procedures. Dr Stewart is an excellent cardiologist and truly cares about what is best for his patients. Dr Stewart is irreplaceable and as one of his patients I will not be going to Powers Health for my cardiac care. I will follow Dr Stewart wherever he goes.

Shame on the cardiac group and Powers for allowing this to happen. Firing an incredible doctor like Dr Stewart...without cause. So much for putting the patients health and wellbeing first. Sounds like egos came first. So incredibly disappointed in Powers. Do better!

I was a patient of Dr. David Stewart since he first was on staff at Community. Then someone goes and fires the BEST OF THE BEST Cardiologist ever. I will no longer be a part of Powers Health because of it. Y'all should be completely and utterly be ASHAMED of yourselves!!!
