Saint Joseph Health System

Was given an estimate that my surgery would be $12k and that my cost after insurance would be $0 so I agreed to the surgery. They ended up trying to charge my insurance company 40k which they would only cover $16k which was still way over the original estimate cost. Now they expect me to pay $24k. This is extremely deceptive and greedy practice and I'm sure this is a normal occurrence because they know they can get away with it. So far they have completely ignored my dispute letter. Now I will be forced to contact the State Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEIR BILLING DEPARTMENT SAYS WHEN IT COMES TO ESTIMATES!

My dad was in the hospital and received great care by the nursing staff. While I was staying with dad his CNA, Tyua, was beyond kind and helpful. I cannot even begin to express how grateful I was to have her helping my dad. She really chose a profession she was supposed to be in

I was there for 3 days dying. The staff there seen my condition and took immediate action. From the emergency room to in room care. Everyone was on point and very nice/friendly. The people on the 5th floor became family to me the way the go above and beyond the call of duty. I am so thankful for all the people who work here and take thier jobs seriously and thier patients. Even the people who work in room service that bring you food to the people who clean your room. Each conversation I had with the genuine. People there made me feel safer and know I had a fantastic chance and making it home alive. Everyone there needs a raise and a bonus for how they respond, respect and complete thier jobs in a highly timely manner! A++ If I ever need help or get sick again I will most definitely put my trust in these people's hands no questions asked. Thank you again for saving my life.

My girlfriend almost died in thier care, they told her she was dehydrated and needed rest. She had pancreasics and was sent a letter saying the care they provide was correct. This place is horrible. The ER is staffed with people who do not care about you and view you ad a hassle rather than a human. Avoid this hospital at all cost. Currently ranked 4th in Indianas worst hospitals, even th3 EMTs said afterwards, "if you want to live do not go to st joseph."

Count your days and your blessings because all of you who run this hospital will have to face true judgment when our Lord comes. To not even give families the decency of contacting them when just one of their loved ones was in a SERIOUS accident, to then air lifting those loved ones to another hospital in another state WITHOUT SAYING A WORD is beyond me. We don't even know if this loved one is still alive with the very MINIMAL information we were given after HOURS of trying to get anything at all! It was as if no department even knew who we were talking about! I'm sick to my stomach because this was NOT AT ALL how you guys used to operate before the pandemic. Then after dropping all of your Medicare/Medicaid patients, this is what we get from you guys now? I bet you lost all of the actual caring and supportive staff because you started treating this hospital like it was just another throw away company! We used to trust you.
