Thomas M. Sweat, M.D., is a board-certified cardiologist who specializes in internal medicine, nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Sweat received his medical degree and completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Louisville. Dr. Sweat has a special interest in the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, including weight management, stress reduction, smoking cessation, exercise, sleep hygiene and proper nutrition. Away from the office, Dr. Sweat enjoys spending time with his family, playing music and competing in triathlons.

Dr Sweat saved my life. He made a choice to do an ultrasound of my heart. He even said, "I'm not expecting to find anything, but let's just check." The findings from the ultrasound was that I had an aneurysm on my ascending aorta. It was fast moving and I would not be here 8 years later had he not decided to do the ultrasound. He's always prompt at my appointments and always asks if there's anything else he can do for me. He fantastic and very to the point and I appreciate that.
