I have known and been a patient of Dr Mary Walsh for over 10 years. She always takes the time to make you feel at ease but, let's you know where you are during your journey with the medical issues that arise. I feel privileged and glad to have her as my doctor., medical advisor, and friend.

I am sure if you are in the end of your life, Dr. Walsh is an adequate doctor, however for my experience she was the exact opposite. I am in my 20s when I saw her and she treated me like I was every other patient. However that doesn't work when the majority of her patients are in their 70s and 80s. Many times I would say something to her about my history but in the following appointment, she would say to me "you never mentioned that" she did not take my rare genetic disease seriously and would tell me "I'm too young to need medical intervention with me heart". She was very dismissive and not personable. Dr Walsh refused me a cardiac MRI and said an echo would be sufficient. The echo did not catch what the MRI did. Thank god I advocated for myself and switched doctors. Once I switched cardiologists, I had heart surgery within A MONTH. If you are a young patient with heart issues, I would seriously think hard on finding a different cardiologist before you trust your time, money and life with Dr. Walsh.

Dr. Walsh has been my Cardiologist prior to and since my heart transplant (2001). I am still alive and healthy thanks to her guidance, competence, professionalism, and care.

My wife had an appointment with Mary Walsh and the visit could've been a case study on how to not treat a patient. My wife has a rare heart condition and is in her late 20s. During the appointment, Walsh made us feel rushed, it was obvious via interaction she did not look into my wife's history at all, she was VERY dismissive of my wife's concerns, she only typed down MAYBE a couple of sentences of notes, and made it seem like there was nothing wrong with my wife. AT NO POINT did it seem like Walsh took my wife's disease or concerns seriously. It was extremely disheartening for a, "medical professional," to interact this way. After this visit, my wife got a new cardiologist (thank god) and not much longer underwent heart surgery. The fact that Walsh practices medicine is scary. I am concerned thinking of how many people have trusted her judgement. If a community manager would like to reach out, we would be more than happy to give more detail on the visit.
