Indiana Heart Physicians: Kovacich, David O. MD, FACC

I have been a patient at Indiana Heart Physicians for over 3 years. Everyone at this heart Center has been nothing short of amazing. From front desk check in to check out. Professional, caring, compassionate, amazing Doctors ,Nurse Practitioners, CNAs top notch 5 star professionals! The St. Francis Heart Center at the hospital too! Amazing! They have all saved my life twice! Yes they are very busy saving someone's life every minute of everyday! If they are running behind it's because they are handling an emergency situation, not because they don't care, but because of hey do care!!

I see Dr. Brittsan for my Heart, and she is wonderful. She really keeps up with what is going on with her patients. I was having an issue with my legs swelling up all of a sudden, and would sometimes weep. Other medical people had many different ideas but alot of them never did 1 test. Dr. Brittsan found out why. I was also having strange palpations all of a sudden, she got down to business and found something in all the years of all of those exams and stress tests the other Dr's didn't and it was something I never knew I had either. She did other tests and fixed me. She keeps an eye on me though. I just love her !!!!!!!!!! She actually listened to what I wanted to say and she doesn't sugar coat anything, but she is warm and friendly. I won't give her up as my Dr even if my insurance wouldn't pay. I would !! Dr. K is amazing. He is the ONLY Doctor that I trust completely with my life. I am a VERY complex cardiac patient and he honestly has saved my life several times. He treats me as a person, not a number or just another person. His life and passion is Cardiology and he cares for his patients more than he cares for himself. He has battled other Doctors that made poor decisions (cardiac surgeons) regarding my care and has even called me as late as 10pm to make sure I had test results to come up with a plan of care. Because I am SO complex, he will consult with other top physicians to verify what he thinks, feels and determines to be best for me. He then presents options for me to choose while helping me determine what will benefit and improve my quality of life. He isnt just a doctor. He becomes a friend. Invested in your entire family. One of his values that he reminded me of so many times is..."I'm not just treating you, I'm treating you, your kids, your husband, your family because they need you". In this day and age a doctor like Dr. K is a rare find. He takes his time with you. Most hospitals who dictate how much time a dr can spend and how many patients a dr has to see in a day, Dr. K WILL spend as much time as it takes with you. Forget the 15 minute rushed appointments. If you need an hour, he will give you that hour without a thought. This Dr. Is my hero, the reason I am still alive. I literally owe my life to him. I'm still after 20 years raising my last 2 of 5 kids, I'm still enjoying life. He has brought me from literally on my death bed to having no limitations as long as I feel ok and comfortable doing what I choose. This Dr truly has wings and I will FOREVER be grateful for him.

My fiance had an appointment this morning at the Columbus office with Dr. David Kocavich. We live over an hour away. Got up early and headed that way. Hit road work halfway, put us their 10 minutes late and left early enough for those reasons. When we got their 10 minutes late, no one was sitting in the waiting room and the lady at the front desk told us we would have to reschedule due to being 10 minutes late! Never in my life have I had this happen! He was referred from IU med center after having a heart test and needed to be seen. It was a month out for the appointment and hes been a nervous wreck for the appointment, only to be told he was 10 minutes late and have to reschedule. But if you wait in the office and they are 10 minutes late it wouldn't matter!!!!! Caring and compassionate??? I THINK NOT!!!! Thanks for nothing!!!!! I would not recommend this or the Dr for anyone!!!

My experience with Dr. Kovacich has been amazing, he listens and makes sure that all of your concerns are addressed
