Save yourself and go to St. Vincent. You'll be sent there anyways. We have been put on the back burner since we started seeing these docs. He was scheduled for triple bypass and valve replacement and 2vweeks before surgery, after being accepted they called and canceled his surgery. Called St. V's and never had gotten his referral from them. Just very unprofessional and i highly suggest you go elsewhere. Kudos to the ones who had a good experience, we sure didn't.

After dealing with the other "St. Heart- Hospital" in Indy for almost 30 years with my father, we decided to go with Franciscan St. Francis Heart Center when my mother developed heart issues. What a difference! There was no feeling like we were just another "patient on a conveyor belt". Every Dr & nurse we'd spoken with were all on the same page & were happy to answer our questions, and not in a "Hurry up, I need to get onto my next patient" manner. Bottom Line, - It's like comparing a Cadilac & a Lamborghini. Both are competent, good places, but when it comes down to focusing on the patient as a person & compassion , St. Francis is just on another level.

My father is on his death bed and in the critical care unit there is nothing they can do for him. My oldest sister and mother are in the room with my father and I am not allowed to be back there. I am upset and it shows a lack of compassion because now I can't be with my father as he passes away because only two people can be in there at a time. I went to stand in the hallway when I was informed by my sister not staff that his condition became worse and the nurse closes the curtain on me. Another nurse came in right before the curtain closed and I couldn't hear what was exchanged but the nurse that is supposed to be taking care of my father looks at me and goes, "I know right." And then closes the curtain. I will never come back to this hospital. Even if I am dying I would rather die in the street then know my family would get treated this way.

Took good care of my family member. I was disappointed by the uncleanliness. The grounds had cigarette butts all over. The landscape is run down. The bathroom wasn't as clean as it should be. The newness has worn off. Physician parking everywhere & employees parking in visitor parking. Visitors & patients should come first.
