Dr. Freije was great and attentive. And the PA named Jamaica was very nice. But it took three days for the staff to get my imaging order for my MRI sent in. I called once and left a message no reply. I called next day and was put on hold for 15 minutes and the call ended. And I finally got a hold of somebody on the third day by contacting them online. Plus, I'd also asked for cough medicine prescription but they gave no reply on that request.
Dr. Freige has been my primary care Dr for years! I have followed him to his new locations through the years because he truly cares about his patients. I'm blessed to have found him, I trust him, have confidence in him and appreciate his kindness and willingness to find the solution to any health issues I have. I don't think many people are lucky enough to find a primary care doctor who they trust and feel comfortable with!
Dr. Freije is an extraordinary doctor, excellent diagnostician. His wonderful communication skills and personal patient interest never leave you guessing. Nice to have a Dr. who has such an amazing vocation for his profession.
Dr Freije doesn't listen or make sure the patient understands. He just kind of leaves you in the examining room and doesn't make it clear an appointment is over. He doesn't give a summary of the visit with treatment noted, nor does he give a copy of prescriptions. He says, "it's at your pharmacy." The last time I visited about water behind my eardrums detected during a hearing screening, it wasn't clear to me what the treatment was. When I went to the pharmacy, I had a steroid regimen prescribed and another medication for asthma and allergies. I don't have asthma or allergies. I talked with three different pharmacists and they were puzzled at the prescription and felt like it was overkill. I've decided not to take these medications and at least get a second opinion. Dr Freije is hard to get ahold of an it is difficult to get things refilled at times. I have been working for over a month to get the right kinds of tests scheduled snd referrals in line to take a prolia infusion I should have had a year ago. I think Dr Freije had too many patients and doesn't take enough time to truly address their issues
Being a patient of Dr. Freije for 2 years, I always feel confident that he and his staff can help manage my conditions. He is a very good listener and will ask questions, is focused on addressing concerns during the appointment, will help manage conditions, and he shows the Ascension values by focusing on the patient. He will also give sound advice through the portal if needed.
