Patient
I've had some good service and I've had poor. Overall, it's mediocre. It's definitely not where I prefer to be or feel safe. While the nurses do call you back with directions, it might not be the same week. Meds are too serious to play with. I've lost control of my body and fell to the floor, waiting on those call backs with directions. They tell you to go to the ER if you feel symptoms. The ER treats you crummy because it's not a true emergency but you feel like it is because it's your heart. Or, You need go to the ER for an emergency. But, you wait til the next day because you're afraid the ER will treat you poorly. They use gaslighting statements to turn you away or cast the guilt of their burnout. I went to turn in my holter heart monitor as directed. My BP was running really low and I felt faint. While I was there, I explained to the lady at the desk how I was feeling. She asked me if I'd like someone to check my BP. I said yes and had a seat. Everyone in the room could hear the nurse from the back say very loudly, "We have patients to see and we don't do walk in's! If she has an emergency, go downstairs!" I told the poor girl having to relay that message, "no thanks, Ill wait till I fall over". I'm almost tired of fighting for my life due to the uncontrollable attitudes and neglect. I've been a nurse all my life and I've never, turned anyone away when they needed help on or off the clock.
