Dr Linn and Dr Honedi are simply amazing doctors. The nurses and most of the staff are also great. However if you are ever involved in an accident and have representation, the billing department doesn't care about understanding that there is time needed to pay for certain things. I paid my bills out of pocket at the time of service without hesitation but a year later I was given another bill for the same service. After numerous calls, emails and overall all forms of communication, the harassment didn't stop until my attorney had to step in. After dealing with the injuries from the accident, trying to move forward and finalizing my bill, the billing department still hassled us to no end. When funds were finally released and I tried to call them to figure this out, I was told it was over and done with and that my entire family was discharged. I remained calm and explained that I now have the money but nope it didn't matter. It is sad to leave the practice that we have been going to for over 10 years but things happen for a reason.
We called in advance to ask if they had Spanish speakers for my mom. They said they did. When it was time for the appointment they denied stating they had one and claimed we called the wrong number. I rechecked the log and the number matched what was listed on the site. They then started claiming we needed to bring our own person to interpret. They were completely rude and didn't even try to help. They are legally responsible for providing interpreters under Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). As a healthcare worker who uses electronic interpreters EVERY TIME the patient doesn't speak English(under law we have too), I didn't realize we would receive discrimination
I am a patient of Dr. Anthony Lin and have generally appreciated the medical care provided. However, I must express my concerns about a recent interaction with the administrative staff that was far from satisfactory. Today, 1/9/24, I contacted the office to renew my medication and discuss a change in my insurance. Throughout this call, I interacted with Judy, Joanne, and Paulina. Unfortunately, the level of professionalism and respect was not what one would expect from a medical office. I had legitimate questions regarding my insurance, which seemed to lead to confusion among the staff. Despite my polite demeanor, the responses I received felt disrespectful. Additionally, during this call, I experienced being hung up on unexpectedly. When I reached out again and inquired about the dropped call, the response was a mix of giggles and a dismissive "I don't know what happened." This lack of professionalism is concerning, especially in a medical setting where clear and empathetic communication is vital. As someone managing high blood pressure, the additional stress from such interactions is not just an inconvenience but a potential health risk. It's essential for administrative staff to handle patient queries with professionalism and understanding, especially when dealing with understandable confusion over insurance matters. I am bringing this to your attention, Dr. Lin, with the hope that this feedback will lead to positive changes in your administrative team's approach to patient service. Compassionate and considerate customer service is an essential part of the healthcare experience, and its improvement would greatly benefit your patients and the reputation of your practice.
