OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center

Inpatient Rehab - They re closing Dec2025, so they will take anyone with insurance as they need the money. There are a few excellent nurses, but majority of staff are incompetent, especially the physician. He is just drawing a paycheck, does absolutely nothing. Avoid at all costs, outcome could be worse than when you enter! Better off in the worse nursing home!

Just was discharged and I've never been so upset after a Dr visit. I was directed to the er from my OBG for heavy bleeding and pain and the Dr I had just told me my symptoms were a period but then later said he wasn't an OBG and there was nothing he could do. Then reading his notes he did not record everything I said, miss recorded and even had different notes than the nurses. He also commented on me not having symptoms when he never asked me. When he was feeling my pelvis he never asked about my pain which I told the nurse was at a 10 and he just kept pressing and saw me crying and said nothing. I thankfully have an appointment with my OBG in a few days but this visit was disheartening and I felt beyond disrespected by this Dr. All other staff was really nice and helpful but this Dr was horrible. Will be going to another ER if I ever have to go again!

Absolutely an incredible experience. We were on vacation and my Mom experienced trouble breathing. They diagnosed her with heart failure. We were shocked. We had no idea she had heart problems. They got right to the root of the problem. I have never been to a hospital where I had felt my loved one was so cared about. My parents are both in their 80's, but in great health. They did require some extra time to make sure they both understand fully what was going on. The nurses and Doctors took the time needed. I would recommend this hospital 1000%. Although we were on vacation, I felt like we were in the exact right spot for my Mom's needs. Thank you so much!!!

Extremely rude nurse, Alicia, would not allow for our friend to contact his dad regarding his treatment and kicked us out. Did not feel safe around the staff. All around extremely rude and ignorant staff would not recommend to anyone. When we tried to file a complaint to they would not give the nurses full name. We remained very calm with the staff but they were unwilling to help. Second shift on May 1st.

Nurse Becca was so sweet, always so helpful. Kind soul, and I love speaking with her. She rakes great care of me! Thank you so much! She's one of many reasons why I always return.
