I had an excellent experience at WellessenceMD. Heidi was absolutely wonderful--professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. She took the time to explain all of my treatment options in a way that was easy to understand, and I truly felt cared for throughout the entire visit. I also want to mention Maggie, the office manager, who was so kind and welcoming. She went out of her way to walk me through the app and all of its features, showing me how to track my visits, view my results, and stay on top of everything. Her guidance made the whole process simple and stress-free. Overall, the team at WellessenceMD provided a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend them to everyone!

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Nance through Zocdoc after searching for a primary care physician in the area. My intention, as stated in the appointment request, was to receive an annual physical and to discuss a plan for tapering off my anti-anxiety medication. During the visit, Dr. Nance addressed the topic of discontinuing the medication and the potential withdrawal side effects. She then introduced Ketamine treatments as a way to mitigate those effects. While I was not surprised to learn that these treatments were not covered by insurance--I'm well-informed about my coverage--what followed felt more like a sales pitch than a medical consultation. Dr. Nance asked very surface-level questions about my anxiety, such as whether I had tried therapy, and quickly pivoted back to promoting the Ketamine treatments. As someone who works in sales and manages a high-stress job effectively with a strong support system both professionally and personally, my interest in stopping the medication stemmed from a place of stability--not desperation. She made a comment suggesting Ketamine was similar to what my friends probably take recreationally at music festivals, which felt dismissive and inaccurate. My friends do not use drugs, and I found the comparison inappropriate. It seemed she was downplaying the seriousness of the drug and trying to position me as an ideal candidate without truly understanding my background or needs. From my own research, I understand Ketamine can be beneficial for individuals with treatment-resistant conditions or those processing trauma--neither of which applies to me. When I asked about alternative options, I felt dismissed. Additionally, she made a remark about potential weight loss associated with stopping the medication, despite me never mentioning concerns about my weight. I found this comment presumptive and irrelevant. I will not be returning and would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking a thoughtful, patient-centered primary care experience. I spoke with the clinic manager the following morning, and my concerns were brushed off with the explanation that Dr. Nance is "direct" and was simply outlining available services. However, in my opinion, the appointment felt more like a sales pitch for an expensive and unnecessary treatment. I was sent home with a packet about Ketamine therapy that included no clinical or peer-reviewed sources, and a flyer for an app that costs $1,100 per year. I left feeling confused, frustrated, and unheard. Unless you're specifically seeking Ketamine treatments or weight loss solutions, I would advise looking elsewhere for primary care.

I visited this place in search of a primary doctor after moving across the country. They took my insurance, I paid the copay, but Dr. Nance was not a good fit for me. I won't go into the details, but to summarize, she made me uncomfortable. Now, nearly a year after I had seen them last, they send me a bill for around $250. These services were long paid for through my insurance and the copay, and I was not notified that I owed any more. All payments had previously been resolved. Why are they sending an email stating that I have a balance, and why are they not mailing me a bill or calling to inform me of the balance? I will give them a call soon to figure out the rest, but this is highly unprofessional. It just reinforces my decision to not continue dealing with them. I will update the review based on the outcome of the call. Edit: It took them about a year to submit the bill, and they office representative could not give me a clear and concise answer as to why I owe, despite it being previously covered. She is blaming the insurance, but the insurance had already covered the payment over about a year ago. I am no longer on the insurance that I had last year, so if they tried to charge me again, it may reflect that I owe, but why wait so long to charge? I am waiting for the office manager to call me. This is unethical and a shady practice. They will not be getting anymore money from me. This bill may even have to go into collections. Final Edit as of Dec 2025: Never received a call back or any form of communication (besides another automated email notice to remind me of the bill). Double checked with my prior insurance, and it turns out they submitted their claim very late (as stated previously), but the insurance notes that their contract states they cannot bill the patient as well, since they submitted everything late. So they are breaching their contract with the previous insurance by billing me. Attached is proof of the statement by insurance, "THIS CLAIM WAS NOT RECEIVED ON TIME SO WE CANNOT PAY THE CLAIM. YOUR CONTRACT WITH CIGNA DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO BILL THE PATIENT AFTER THE TIME LIMIT."

Disappointed in the services provided and the enrollment process is misleading. I was charged $200 to enroll after being rushed through the process with many questions left unanswered. My appointment to go over my labs was supposed to be with Heidi, but, without my consent or notification I was switched to Dr. Nance, who literally had one foot out the door and rushed me through it all. The consultation felt incomplete, with limited information and no time to ask questions. When I later learned that my insurance wouldn't cover their plans, I was told I couldn't unenroll or receive a refund -- something I wish had been clearly explained upfront. Overall, I would not recommend this clinic if you are seeking thorough, transparent, and patient-centered care. Make sure all of your questions are answered before agreeing to any enrollment or payment. I'm out $200 (in addition to my copay and payment for the labs) and received nothing of value in return.

Incredibly unhelpful, made me feel like I was lying. Had no experience about my situation & made it out that I didn't either. Questioned me if I should quit my job because I have allergy issues crazy unprofessional. I have never walked out of an appointment this appalled. Please if you need help go to another doctor.
