Magdalena Nowak, MD

Dr. Nowak is a highly knowledgeable doctor. She's very smart and can explain anything. She really does listen to my concerns, and she always orders testing regarding any concerns instead of excusing symptoms. She was my first and only doctor moving to Rockford, and with one listen of my heart she referred me to a cardiologist and found out I needed open heart surgery. (While others wrote it off as a simple murmur) That proved to me that she knows what she's doing and she is a very good doctor. She's always kind and straight to the point which is what I like in a doctor, no extra needed. She's also been willing to provide any documentation or notes needed for my work or school. I don't think I'll ever switch from her. It's really nice to have a doctor that not only listens but also acts. She's shown me a lot of compassion and empathy towards certain health issues I've gone through as well. Shes very attentive as well. I don't have to wait very long to see her either, and if I've had any ER visits her staff always calls me to see how I'm doing. Thank you Dr. Nowak for being such a great doctor!

If I could give her a zero I would! I was taking a disabled person from mosaic to her annual physical. First of all she walked in and was very abrupt with her questions, no eye contact, very cold. I gave her a packet of information that needed to be filled out from Mosaic. She told me that I was not doing my job in filling out the packet. She said that I was not prepared for the visit and that she has this happen all of the time with people from mosaic and that she is going to stop filling out the information. It turns out the only things that I needed to fill out was her name and birthday at the top and a few signatures. The rest was for her to do! She made such a big deal out of this. She was rude, condescending. My disabled person does not want to see her again. She used to be mine and my husband's doctor but not anymore. She's been questionable in the past but she crossed the line today. I've been a nurse for 36 years and I've never had a doctor talk to me like she did today.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I met her for an initial appointment today. She was extremely dismissive, didn't seem to take my concerns seriously, and talked over me. When I looked at the note summary, half of the information she documented was incorrect. I read through some of the other reviews prior to my visit and tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. I should've just saved myself the time and terrible experience. I definitely will not be returning to see this woman again.

This was the absolute worst doctor visit of my 50 years. She enters the room and ask me what am I here for? It was at this point I realized I made a mistake. I was there to establish a new patient appointment. Did she read my file? She then proceeds to tell me that I already had a physical in January so we're not doing "this" today. After going in circles about my pressure being 3 points too high or low according to her standards, I told her that this doctor/ patient relationship is " too contentious" for me. And she said well that's who I am as I clutched my pearls and told her that I would not come to a doctor to have a contentious relationship. To all beware and stay away!
