Carle Health Pekin Hospital

This place is a joke and I wouldn't take my animals here for treatment... I'm tired of just incompetent people working here anytime I come in. I've been here in the past because I couldn't breathe and was having issues. Anyways the nurse looks me in the eye and tell me we can do a blood test but it would be a waste of time.... That blood test was exactly what I needed! Finally after about 4 days of struggling I ended up in Peoria hospital in the ICU due to their incompetence and laziness... I threw a blood clot and had a pulmonary embolism THAT SHOULD HAVE KILLED ME!!!! multiple doctors here told me I shouldn't have woke up that morning to even go to work or anything and that I was extremely lucky! This place cost me part of my lung all because they don't want to do their job and just blow people off ... One of these days the wrong person is going to die or go in there and then maybe once something bad happens to that said person someone will sue because you guys don't want to work. Also just a little advice if your job is that miserable or you don't like it.... Find a different job because people deserve better treatment than this from nurses and Drs.

Awful place. The nurses will yell at you for simply asking when you will be seen. The nurse Jordan with the brown hair, bob cut, and brown eyes, to be specific. She was a bully, I had been waiting an hour. Not even a nurse had come to say a single word to me, that entire time. No hospitality. I have developed pneumonia due to lack of care, when I was seen for massive wheezing and sinus discomfort. I have been allowed to develop it 3 times this year due to medical neglect from this place and the first care off of Veterans Dr. They'll only send you off with steroids and ignore when you say your chest is hurting. If you have any other options, go to those. This place is trash and the employees are much the same.

Pekin hospital staff were the rudest staff. They will not offer family members staying w patient even drinks when I asked for a sprite they copped an attitude and slammed it on the table for me and then came back with security who yelled at me and 4 staff members making me feel completely threatened. I have a mental illness and this only triggered a panic attack making me use more anxiety pills. So I made my husband ama himself out right after this. I would never recommend Pekin hospital for any of your loved ones!

Nurse was great but Terrible physician. Took forever just to get stitches, then nurse was shitty as hell to my boyfriend. She never washed hands or had gloves in before opening stuff to stitch him. Took over 10 mins just to try to stitch then needed another physician to help her. Ridiculous!! I wouldn't even take my dog here! DO BETTER PEOPLE!

guy that was waiting on my fiance had no clue what he was doing, couldn't draw blood, kept poking different spots to hope to find the right one as he said. my fiance fell unconscious 4 times with a dropping heart rate and they did nothing! will not go back --this was in the ER.
