Patient
If there is a more knowledgeable and compassionate doctor than Dr. Bump, I have yet to meet them. Dr. Bump is a highly skilled, calm-natured and extremely knowledgeable doctor who has been helping patients get better for a long time. Beyond that, he is one of the most decent human beings you will ever encounter. My father was a patient of his for many years. I'll never forget one particular night when my Dad was going into septic shock while in the hospital. It felt like none of the other doctors really noticed it right away, or mistook it for my father just sleeping a lot. Dr. Bump knew my Dad well, and because of this patient relationship that he cultivated, he realized something was wrong and ordered some tests. Thanks to Dr. Bump's attention to my Dad's symptoms, they were able to do early intervention and keep him stable enough thru the sepsis so that he was able to make a full recovery. Although my Mom was not a patient due to insurance, he volunteered his help and support to help her quit smoking. He has cared for my mentally disabled sister who has a complex cardiac history and has helped her navigate out of some critical situations in the ICU. When I have my own appointments with Dr. Bump, I can honestly say no one has ever spent so much time with me during an appointment. Dr. Bump cares about me holistically, and cardiac issues are just one aspect of the care he provides. He will asks lots of questions to get a detailed understanding of your health. He also takes the time to anwser all my questions, and I never, ever feel rushed. I can't think of a single person I'd trust more with my family's well-being than Dr. Bump. His empathetic approach and commitment to treating patients in a holistic manner set him apart. If you're in search of a cardiologist, I highly recommend giving Dr. Bump serious consideration.
