Seems to be a good Dt but the office is not good about calling back patients. They make appointments then change them. Call for advice, prescriptions or a health issue they don't call back. Called 3 days in a row still no call back.

I have generally had a positive impression of Dr. Abourahma and his team. However, I recently experienced a situation that has left me feeling quite frustrated. During my initial visit, Dr. Abourahma listened to my concerns and recommended a full blood test, which I promptly completed on the same day. When the results became available on the patient portal, I noticed that several values were outside the normal range, so I anticipated a follow-up call from the doctor's office. Unfortunately, no one reached out. A month later, I called to request that a message be left for Dr. Abourahma, asking if he could review and discuss my results. I was disappointed that I didn't receive any response. Today, when I called to schedule an appointment, I was told by the receptionist that the next available date was December 5--more than a month away. I then asked why no one had contacted me about my results, and she replied that it was my responsibility to follow up. I was taken aback by this response, as my experience with other doctors has been different; I expected a call from the office with guidance on my next steps. When I explained that I had called a month ago without receiving any follow-up, she said there was no record of my previous call. As I expressed my concerns about their system, she began interrupting and raising her voice. This time, I made sure to take her name and requested that the doctor personally follow up with me regarding my results. I appreciate Dr. Abourahma's expertise, but this experience has highlighted issues in communication and patient follow-up that I hope can be addressed

As a visiting student under Dr. Abourahma, I had an exceptional learning experience. His expertise in cardiology is unparalleled, and he is incredibly patient and thorough in his care. Dr. Abourahma's dedication to his patients and his willingness to share his knowledge made my rotation invaluable. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking top-notch cardiological care.

One of the best and smartest cardiologist in Illinois. Just a nice genuine caring doctor. He's my dad's and my wife's cardiologist and both have Nothing, but the nicest things to say about him . Thanks doc for everything!! Wish there were more doctors like you !
