Dr.Starkman is incredible. He is a "Unicorn" among medical doctors- as a D.O he also is trained on cranial/ osteopathic manipulation. His technique is gentle and I love his bedside manner- jovial, he really loves his practice! He takes the time to really look at blood work and find the connections that could be contributing to my health.
A life saver. Thorough, patient focused. On my first visit, rather than dismissing a slightly higher normal score on a third-party test I brought him, he arranged a more comprehensive test that revealed a serious heart condition. In the follow-up visit he explained clearly the condition, possible outcomes, treatments and answered all my questions. He has helped me to be a better informed patient. Plus he provided cardiology and surgical referrals.
I went to see Dr Starkman after knee replacement surgery. He released tighness around my knee cap and made adjustments to my right hip so that I am more comfortable walking again. Great experience.
The only Doctor to every treat my issues without prescribing drugs and requiring a lot of follow up visits. I always leave the office feeling better and am very happy with the results of his treatment process
Dr. Starkman is a super physician in every way. He listens, and takes what we say into consideration before even making suggestions. The bottom line is totally up to the patient. I have NEVER been told, "I'm the doctor here, you need to do what I say", as I have from doctors in the past. He has the humility to admit when he doesn't know about a question I have, but is always willing to research and come back with a doctors perspective on something I'm concerned about. Because he is a Self Directed Care provider, he is able to focus on suggesting treatments that insurances don't typically allow until a whole string of expensive OTHER treatments are tried. Even if a doctor KNOWS that choice 12 on the list would be the best thing for his patient. I love having a doctor who truly cares about making and keeping his patients well, in the most natural way possible. He is, however, not opposed to traditional treatments to the point of refusing to use it even when other natural treatments haven't worked. I've never looked FORWARD to doctor appointments before Dr. Starkman!!
