Called Mokena office THREE times yesterday. Put on hold immediately without speaking with anyone. After 13 minutes and 45 seconds exactly, each call disconnected. So a total of 40 minutes and never spoke with anyone. When I was a nurse in a primary care office, our reception desk answered each call and took messages quickly. If a hold was necessary it was typically quite short. Maybe HCCI needs more or better trained staff. I do really like Dr. Joe Stella.

Scheduling is terrible.Showed up for appointment, they told me I don't have appointment. I showed my card and said " That's not my initials". Wouldn't see me. Wasted a lot of my time. No apologies.Authorizations for are critically untimely.

The quality of care by my husband's cardiologist and my cardiologist, have been excellent, however, the office staff, the office supervisor and the lack of the 21 century computer technology has NOT been good. We have had numerous problems getting our medications refilled with their office staff blaming the pharmacy for not transmitting (faxing) the refill requests appropriately. Per the office supervisor, they have "problems with numerous pharmacies." As stated to the office supervisor, if there are numerous problems with numerous pharmacies faxing these requests, then it would appear that the real problem may be on the receiving end (Heart care) and how these medication refill requests are not being processed appropriately by the Heart care staff. It was impossible to speak to a nurse or our cardiologist, as the office staff screened our call and denied access to care by the physician or healthcare professional. This is a dangerous practice as the office staff are not medically qualified to do this. I hope that in the near future, Heart care steps into the 21st century with their computer and software systems allowing for electronic prescription fill and refill. By implementing electronic fill software instead of continuing to use the archaic fax transmittal of prescriptions, perhaps missed prescriptions can be avoided, and perhaps patients won't miss dosages of medications.

I really hate when you call and get to wait on hold for 20-40 minutes to even get to anybody then get disconnected and wait more... this happened to me twice but having to be on hold for long periods of time happens always. The appointment got scheduled then rescheduled 3 days before because doctor supposedly was not going to be in. Then the same appointment got rescheduled yet again stating that it was scheduled with the wrong provider. Bull!!! Great doctors!!!! Incompetent office staff!

Need more competent office help. My husband needed pertinent info sent to another doctor who was treating him for another issue. Whoever electronically faxed it transposed the number,even though it was written quite large on a plain sheet of paper. I would also like to know when a My chart page will be enacted. This was only one of several problems my husband has encountered. He likes his cardiologist, but I am not at all impressed with the office staff
