Run from this man. My dad had heart attack symptoms and went to Lagrange emergency room. I rushed to meet my dad in the emergency so I could help ask questions and listen. Paul Ryan was the cardiologist on call and after finding blockage he told us they were going preform an angiogram and two hours later after coming out of surgery Paul Ryan meet us and said he preformed angioplasty and a metal stint was put in to keep blood flowing to the heart. Great we thought. Well after having my Dads regular cardiologist look at the video of the procedure. Dr Ryan did not preform the surgery at all but an intern did the work and the worst part the intern never put a stint in to keep the blood vessel to the heart open. Essentially he opened the artery up with the balloon but forgot the stint. Now may dad has to survive until his regular cardiologist can fix this and put a stint in. Please be careful this guy doesn't really seem to care at all.

I have known Dr. Ryan for around 20 years. He is kind, compassionate, and intuitive, an excellent doctor ! He was my husbands doctor. In Dr. Ryan's care my husband lived a long time with a bad heart. He is my cardiologist. What some of these people are saying isn't possible.

Completely disregarded my mother's heart symptoms. He told her it was acid reflux, even though she had pain in her left arm, the left side of her jaw, and had chest pain. Seems to me those are classic heart symptoms. And guess what, she had a Large blockage!! He sent her home from the hospital. I wouldn't send my dog to him for treatment! Do not go to this Dr for heart issues, especially if you are a woman!! One of the other dr's in his office had the gall to tell my mom it was all in her head. She is now in the northshore system that Evanston hospital is part of. She's had MUCH better care there!! On a side note, To Mr Mike Boehm, I do have the correct Dr Ryan. My mother was in his care in Illinois. Don't assume or tell everyone that we are reporting on the wrong Dr Ryan. I have the absolutely correct Dr Ryan. Thank you

Does not follow through to respond to the patient in a timely basis. I was in the ER over the weekend, and am still waiting to have Dr. RYAN follow up on my condition, three days later. Still waiting. The practice seems too big and the gatekeepers of this practice do not work hard enough to get Dr. RYAN to respond or to care. I am very disappointed.
