From the moment I got to Glen Oaks Hospital, they were very welcoming. From the receptionist at check in to the registration process. When I got to same day surgery I was welcomed with bright eyes and cheerful smiles made my experience with them a pleasant one. I was more at ease when I was met with nurses, surgeon, and anesthesiologist that would perform surgery on me. They explained the procedure from start to finish thoroughly, and also took great care of me afterwards. The nurses continuously kept checking up on me during recovery period. I was given thorough instructions and take home directions. To top it all off I received a goody bag to take home. I would definitely recommend anyone who needs same day surgery to go there if you are looking for 5 star treatment. - Abby

I had an amazing experience at Glen Oak Hospital twice with my left and right eye cataract surgery. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and very attentive to what the patients need. I felt comfortable throughout. The customer service was excellent.

This was my first time here. The nursing staff is amazing! They tend to your needs with a smile, so friendly, so cool. They made sure I had everything I needed, was able to answer all my questions and tend to all my needs. I will continue to come here, I live this place, they make you feel like family.

I've multiple issues with this hospital.
- This is a hospital but, in the multiple times I've had to visit, I've seen maybe two people wear a mask. And I know the custodial staff is overworked and underpaid so I'm not surprised at how filthy some areas are. I wish the custodial staff was treated better here.
- Excluding one test I've gotten done here, all lab work I've gotten done was by marvelous people who were kind and competent. BUT, for some reason, my PCP that is in the SAME hospital as where I got the tests consistently can't find the results in my chart so the post test-convo gets delayed. Mind you, I can see the results in the app and website on my own so why can't they on their computers?
- It is always a hassle talking with doctors and some lab staff. It's like everything has to be an argument. I also have to keep telling them stuff that should already be in my chart.
- I went in for an annual physical last year at the hospital clinic. The doctor only checked my blood pressure, hemoglobin and nothing more. No reflex test, no stethoscope to listen to my heart and lungs when I breathe. In what world is that an actual physical?
- I also looked at my most recent after visit report and the doctors said they went over stuff they NEVER mentioned during the appointment. So, on top of everything else, they are simply lying and for no good reason.
I'm searching for a different PCP and a different hospital because I just want the baseline of care and that's not asking too much.

Nurse Debby was incredible. I was there after tearing my meniscus like a linebacker in the Bears and my team couldn't have been nicer. Although this mysterious and random injury will never be figured out, I can't remember my doctor's name or the nurse's assistant, but they were all Loving.
Sad that in a field such as this, I have to tell you all that if you want fast care and compassion, they've got your back.
You MAY get your sign in sheet at triage in SPANISH, amazingly enough though I filled it out correctly haha. But Nurse Debby, thank you for making crunchy knee comfortable.
Love this place so much.
Sidenote: I do not how the ebb & flow works with top tier, peak busy times, but if you go very late at night or early in the morning whichever tickles your fancy, your best bet is between 9-10:30/11p - 12 a.m. - 4 a.m. for quick help, after my two or three visits.
Just keep in mind that this isn't a full on hospital like Edward's or CDH. This is a smaller, "clinic" type micro hospital. Without referrals from your primary care and depending on the time as well, if you need an (MRI, CT SCANS) etc. - keep in mind MRI technicians are one of the first teams to leave in the evening, so the most you'll likely be able to get to suffice, is an X-ray, possible EKGs, UltraSounds & blood work done. What is available and how equipped a smaller clinic-like hospital is, is dependent on the time of day/night you go as well.
Trust me, you're in fantastic hands.
FYI: the background check of one of the patients wanting to sue the hospital will tell you all you need to know on her visit. I'd take her experience with a grain of salt.
